I'm Back!!!

I have no idea why I've been unable to log into my blog for the last couple of months. Who knows??? All that matters is that I'm able to now.

First of all, thanks so much to you all that have purchased my book since its release last November. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Surprisingly, it's done quite well and I'm so grateful!!!

Now I'd like to update you all with the progress of book #2. It seems that the illustrator hasn't sent in the drawings for my upcoming book and the publisher can't get in touch with him. This is not good!!! Because of this, the release date is going to have to be pushed back. It was scheduled to be released Mar/Apr. Now....there's really no telling!!! Hopefully I'll hear something soon and when I do, I'll update you all.

Talk about stress!!! Welcome to the world of publishing!!! Whew!!!

My book is being printed today. After the publisher reviews the proof and everything goes well, it'll be released THIS FRIDAY (October 30). I'm so excited and can't wait to see the finished product.

It's FINALLY finished!!!

Well, the interior of my book is finally complete. They're going to make a couple of minor changes to the book cover and then EVERYTHING will be ready to print. I'm so excited!!!

I got to review the layout this week and couldn't be more thrilled with the illustrations. I'm sooooo pleased!!! This book is definitely something that any dog lover would enjoy. And it's also so versatile. Even though this is a gift book, because of the fun illustrations, children will enjoy it, too :)

This book is filled with 145 pages of fun illustrations and sayings. I couldn't be more pleased with the results and can't wait to see it in person.

Oh....the book cover is also OUTSTANDING!!! Very colorful!!!

My Little Buddy

Here are a couple of "more current" photos of my little buddy, Bentley. He's what inspired me to write a book about dogs. Well, that and the fact that I'm a HUGE dog lover!!! Okay...so I'm a HUGE animal lover in general (as long as they don't have a lot of legs...LOL).

Bentley, as you can probably tell, is one SPOILED ROTTEN Shih Tzu. But I wouldn't have it any other way. People may think I'm a bit looney when it comes to how I treat him, but I'm sure all of you dog owners (or animal owners) can relate :)

And just like the bandana says, he's definitely MAMA'S DOG!!! ;)

Release Date

Hello all...

There's no OFFICIAL release date of my upcoming book, 500 Things That Make Dogs Happy, YET. However, they're pushing for a mid-October release. I can't wait to see the finished book. Even if it takes longer for it to be published, I'm totally fine with it because I know it'll be worth it :) I can't wait to share it with all of you!!!

I'll keep you all posted. I should be hearing more about it in the upcoming days. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!

Illustration Sneak Peek ;)

Well, today I received a couple of illustration proofs that'll be in my soon-to-be-released book, 500 Things That Make Dogs Happy. I'm so happy with them!!! They're very simple black and white sketches with a lot of character. According to the publisher, there will be OVER 475 illustrations in my book. This was a very pleasant surprise!!! I was expecting 100 or less. I can't wait to see the rest of the illustrations. In the meantime, below is a sample of what's to come. Enjoy!!!
